Ford Ecosport: Acceleration Control / Removal and Installation - Accelerator Pedal
Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE:
To prevent setting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), make
sure that the Transmission shifter is in P position (Parking).
NOTE:
Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position for at
least 30 seconds, prior to disconnect the accelerator pedal electrical
connector.

Disconnect the accelerator pedal wiring harness electrical connector.
-
Remove the nuts and the accelerator pedal.
Torque:
18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
If the catalytic converter is not being replaced, the HO2S
and the catalyst monitor sensor do not need to be removed from the
catalytic converter. Disconnecting the electrical connectors is still
necessary.
