Ford Ecosport: Seatbelt Systems / Removal and Installation - Rear Center Seatbelt Retractor
Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the LH rear seat backrest.
Refer to: Rear Seat Backrest (501-10B Rear Seats, Removal and Installation).

Remove the rear LH seatbelt buckle.
-
Remove and discard the bolt retainer.
-
Remove the bolt.
-
Remove the child safety seat tether anchor bezel(s) and the rear center seatbelt guide bezel.
-
If equipped.
Remove the rear seat armrest.
Refer to: Rear Seat Armrest (501-10B Rear Seats, Removal and Installation).

Release the J-clip.
-
Unzip the backrest cover.
-
Position the rear seat backrest cover to access the rear center seatbelt retractor bolt.
-
NOTE:
The rear seat backrest cover is shown removed for clarity.
Remove the rear center seatbelt retractor bolt.
Torque:
30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

On both sides.
Position the rear seat backrest cover to access the rear center seatbelt retractor.
-
If equipped.
Route the wiring harness through the rear seat backrest cover.
-
Route the rear center seatbelt through the guide.
-
Remove the rear center seatbelt retractor.
Installation
NOTE:
During installation, make sure the seatbelt webbing is not
twisted and the seatbelts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check the seatbelt system for correct operation.
