Ford Ecosport: Climate Control System - General Information / Removal and Installation - In-Vehicle Temperature Sensor

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the steering column shrouds.
    Refer to: Steering Column Shrouds (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Vehicles With: Driver Knee Airbag

  1. Remove the driver knee airbag.
    Refer to: Driver Knee Airbag (501-20B Supplemental Restraint System, Removal and Installation).

All vehicles

  1. Remove the hush panel.
  1. Disconnect and remove the in-vehicle temperature sensor.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Removal

    NOTICE: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces, that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan can cause engine failure.

    Remove the timing chain.
    Refer to: Timing Chain (303-01C Engine - 2.0L Duratec-HE (129kW/175PS), Removal and Installation).
    Remove the bolts and VCT units.
    Discard the bolts.
