NOTE:
If TR sensor Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present, the Paddle Shift feature may not be operational.
Refer to Wiring Diagrams Cell 29 for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The paddle shift switch is integral to the
steering wheel. When the selector lever is placed in the sport shift (S)
mode the upshift/downshift feature becomes activated and allows the
operator to upshift or downshift without removing their hands from the
steering wheel. If a new switch is required install a new paddle shift
assembly.

If the vehicle displays the symptom, the upshift switch is inoperative,
GO to B2 If the downshift switch is inoperative, GO to B6 If neither
switch operates test the signal return circuit, GO to B10
Otherwise if no symptoms are displayed, the system is operating
correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose
connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or terminal issues.
